The Enhanced Package is our most comprehensive course and the one chosen by people who want to go beyond training and give themselves the best chance into NHS employment. It includes everything in the Standard Package — theory, mannequin practice and five supervised live bleed sessions — plus practical skills in printing blood forms, exposure to EMIS for blood tests, a formal competency assessment and a work experience placement of up to 1 week (unpaid) at our partner NHS GP surgery in East London.
Students will be placed in their department of work experience according to their assessment results.
On completion you receive a reference letter from ourselves. The placement is a powerful addition to any CV and gives you real, verifiable NHS experience.

The Enhanced Package includes everything in the Standard Package but adds more live bleeds, a competency assessment, a 1 week unpaid work placement, a reference letter and NHS job application support.
It is worth it if you are aiming at an NHS role and want more than a certificate. The work experience placement and reference letter address the two things that most often block applicants: no real-world experience and no clinical referee.
You are placed in a department according to your assessment results during the course and availability at the surgery. It amounts to 1 week of working in a live surgery, though it may not be 5 consecutive days.
